Class Visits to the Library

Westlake Porter Public Library would love to see your classroom or group visit the library as part of your school year. Whether it’s for a storytime, class project or simply to browse for books, we strive to make your visit to the library an educational and rewarding one.

If you have specific educational goals for your visit, or, if you’d like to visit for fun, it is best for library staff to coordinate the visit schedule and goals directly with the lead teacher who will attend on the day of the trip. This will help us know your expectations and ensure a successful visit!

Please provide notification about cancellations as soon as it is possible to the YS Department at 440-250-5471.

Programs, events, and classes may be photographed and videotaped for library promotional purposes. Please notify staff if you prefer that your class not be photographed.

Class Field Trip Request

Interested in scheduling a visit? Fill out this form or call the Youth Services Department at 440-250-5471 at least two weeks in advance. We will do our best to schedule a visit during your preferred times and WPPL staff will be in contact with you about scheduling.

Please note that teachers and chaperones may not leave children unattended and are expected to participate in library activities.
